01 Company Brief

Shortlist is a human capital technology company helping organize and match skilled talent to meaningful work. Based in Kenya, Shortlist serves clients across Africa, India, and the United States.

The Shortlist platform screens candidates using predictive chat-based interviews and online competency-based assessments, letting employers skip the most time-consuming and bias-prone phases of hiring. Founded in 2016, over 80 companies including Ather Energy, M-KOPA, MicroEnsure, and Xynteo now partner with Shortlist to build high-performing teams.

Career Success is one such feature that helps candidates in their job-search process.

02 Challenge

To create a learning management system comprising of 21 unique courses called Career Success. The courses will be a curation of assessments, journaling, and thought exercises to help candidates of Shortlist Professionals prepare for their dream job. The program should be designed into 4 achievable pathways Self Discovery, Career Discovery, Personal Branding and Navigating your Career. All 21 courses will fall under these pathways. The product should consist of a landing page that will be open to all, a resources page that will require a sign up; from which each individual course should be accessible. The courses will be built out using Career Box by Shortlist Professionals. On the landing page, include a tab for ‘other offerings’ and ‘partner resources’. We will require the pages to be created incorporating logic, and we will need the page to track each candidates journey with start, in-progress and completed stages.
